1NCE introduces Version 2.0 of the Data Streamer Service. All new streams created will behave according to the documented Version 2.0 behavior regarding Event and Usage Record format. Existing V1 data streams were migrated will continue to operate with the same functionality as before. 1NCE recommends to recreate Version 1.0 streams at some point in the near future as only Version 2.0 will receive updates and new features.
The overall documentation of the 1NCE Management API was reworked and a few bugs and inaccuracies were fixed in the update. These changes were only to the documentation of the API, the functionality was not altered.
With the new Version 2.0 Data Streamer it is possible to create new streams that can be used in the DataDog Regions US, US3, EU and US1FED. Please ensure the correct Region in the DataDog account and 1NCE Portal when setting up a new stream.
With the new Version 2.0 Data Streamer, the default behavior of the REST API integration has changed. In Version 1.0 two options REST API and REST API Bulk were available. With the migration to Version 2.0, the only the REST API Bulk integration is available. Newly created streams will no longer receive single HTTP POST requests for each individual record. Event and Usage records will be provided as a list of JSON objects. The default maximum amount of records in a single HTTP POST request is 3000 items.
We improved the eSIM specifications in the documentation. More details about the pinout of the 1NCE eSIM chip are now included as well as a reference to the 1NCE eSIM specifications PDF.
Due to an update of the 1NCE Data Streamer, the option for receiving the combined Usage and Event Data in one data stream will no longer be supported. All new streams can only contain either Usage or Event Data. In the case that both data types are needed, two separate Data Streams need to be created. Both streams can point to the same destination for using the REST API integration. This will closely mimic the behavior of the removed combined Event and Usage Data option. Refer to the Data Streamer Setup Guide for information about the current setup options.
1NCE replaced the deprecated AWS Key-Based Authentication method with the new AWS Role-Based Authentication in a 1NCE Portal update earlier in 2021. The advancing 1NCE security standards create the need to migrate the integrations that used the deprecated key-bases authentication to role-based authentication. For this, existing Data Streams with deprecated AWS Key-Based Authentication integrations need to be deleted and recreated with the AWS Role-Based Authentication. Instructions for the new authentication setup can be found in the Data Streamer AWS Guide.
